This Privacy Policy describes Our policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of Your information when You use Scan Mate and tells You about Your privacy rights and how the law protects You.
We use limited Personal Data and Usage Data to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, You agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. These definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or plural.

Application refers to Scan Mate, the software program provided by the Company.
Company means Scan Mate, referred to as either "the Company", "We", "Us" or "Our" in this Agreement.
Country refers to: Nevada, United States.
Device means any device that can access the Service such as a cellphone, tablet, or computer.
Personal Data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
Service refers to the Application.

Usage Data refers to data collected automatically, generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself.

Scan Mate is designed to help You scan, crop, enhance, organize, export, and share documents. We do not require You to create an account to use the basic features of the Application.
The Application may request the following device permissions only for features You choose to use:
Camera access — used to scan documents, receipts, IDs, books, photos, or other physical papers inside the Application.
Photo Library access — used to import existing images for scanning, editing, or PDF creation, and to save exported images if You choose to do so.
Files access — used only when You choose to import or export files using the iOS Files app.
Face ID or Passcode access — used only if You enable app lock or private folders. We do not receive or store Your Face ID or device passcode.
Your scanned documents, images, and PDFs are processed primarily on Your device. We do not access, view, sell, or share the contents of Your scanned documents.
Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service.
Usage Data may include information such as Your Device type, operating system version, app version, crash logs, diagnostic data, feature usage, subscription status, and other technical information used to improve the Application.
This Usage Data is used to monitor app stability, diagnose crashes, improve performance, understand feature usage, manage subscriptions, and improve the Service.
The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:
To provide and maintain our Service, including scanning, editing, saving, exporting, and sharing documents.
To improve the Application, including fixing bugs, improving performance, and developing new features.
To manage subscriptions and purchases, including processing in-app purchases, restoring previous purchases, and granting access to premium features.
To manage Your requests, including customer support and technical assistance.
For analytics, including understanding general usage trends and improving the user experience.
For legal and security purposes, including preventing fraud, enforcing policies, and complying with legal obligations.
We may share limited information in the following situations:
With Service Providers: We may share Usage Data with trusted Service Providers to monitor app performance, analyze usage, manage subscriptions, process purchases, and improve the Service. These may include providers such as Apple, Google Firebase, RevenueCat, Apphud, or similar services.
For business transfers: We may share or transfer information in connection with a merger, sale of assets, financing, or acquisition of all or part of Our business.
With Your consent: We may disclose Your information for any other purpose with Your consent.
For legal reasons: We may disclose information if required by law or valid legal request.
Scan Mate does not sell Your scanned documents, photos, PDFs, OCR text, or file contents. Your documents remain under Your control.
If You choose to share, export, upload, or sync documents using third-party services such as iCloud, Google Drive, Dropbox, email, WhatsApp, or other apps, those services may process Your documents according to their own privacy policies.
Scan Mate may provide OCR, document enhancement, PDF compression, background cleanup, text extraction, or AI-powered features. Where possible, these features are processed on-device. If any feature requires cloud processing in the future, We will disclose this clearly inside the Application before sending document content to a server.
The Company will retain Personal Data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.
Documents saved locally on Your device remain on Your device until You delete them. If You delete documents from the Application or from Your device storage, they may no longer be available unless backed up by Your own cloud service.
Usage Data may be retained for internal analysis, crash diagnostics, subscription management, legal compliance, and security purposes.
You have the right to delete or request that We assist in deleting Personal Data that We may have collected about You.
You can delete scanned documents, PDFs, folders, and exported files directly from Your device or inside the Application where applicable.
You may also contact Us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any information that We may hold about You, subject to legal or operational requirements.
Your information may be processed at the Company's operating offices and in other places where Service Providers are located. This means information may be transferred to computers located outside Your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where data protection laws may differ.
Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by Your use of the Service represents Your agreement to that transfer.
If the Company is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, Your Personal Data may be transferred.
Under certain circumstances, the Company may be required to disclose Your Personal Data if required by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
